Always select a fixture rated for the environment where it will be installed. 

• Damp Rated: Suitable for humid environments like bathrooms, covered patios, or laundry rooms 
• Wet Rated: Approved for direct exposure to water, including uncovered outdoor areas 

We recommend following the maximum wattage and bulb type listed in the fixture specifications. Using the correct bulb ensures proper performance and helps protect the fixture over time. 

If reduced brightness is preferred and a dimmer switch is not being used, you may select a lower-wattage bulb that does not exceed the fixture’s maximum rating.
