New beginnings… whether it’s the first time away from home, the first day of high school or starting a new job, September will be here, and you want to be prepared!
Task lighting will help give direct light without distracting others. Designed to illuminate and define someone’s personal work space is a necessity for every college student. Great for that dorm room or home office, Quoizel’s portable lighting comes in multiple styles and finishes to compliment everyone’s style.
The contemporary Linear task lamp puts bright LED light exactly where it’s needed on the table or desk. It stands 28 high x 27.5 wide and comes with a 4 watt LED light source. It can be ordered in either a polished nickel or a medici bronze finish.
Looking for something a little more traditional, the Pueblo lamp is for you. Its simple geometric expressions in an earthy color palette adorn the shade in this classic handcrafted piece. It is adjustable in three places allowing you to place the light just where you need it.
Our newest task lamp was just introduced at the June Dallas Market. This silver LED task lamp in brushed nickel is small in size but big on brightness. It is also available in a palladian bronze finish.
Lighting in the kitchen is important for cooking and preparing meals. However, the heart of the home is where most will sit down and do their homework. Quoizel has so many beautiful fixtures to brighten up your kitchen and get the student in your life excited about going back to school.
Quoizel’s Emery Collection has a sleek island light that not only adds style to your kitchen but also provides ample light for any daily task. The metal fixture comes in four finishes and adds a nostalgic classic Americana feel to your home. Now offered in weathered brass!
A bright white space with plenty of counter room and big comfortable bar stools would be another great spot to sit down and focus. The Confetti chandeliers above the island fit in perfectly with the clean and classic style of this kitchen while adding a bit of fun and more than enough task lighting.
The Steadman pendant adds the perfect amount of task lighting above a kitchen island. The vintage bulb and bronze finish have an historic flair and add an industrial sense of design to your home while providing sufficient light to focus on whatever task is at hand!
So get everyone excited about the new school year. Go to Quoizel to find these and many other task lamps and kitchen lighting ideas to suit your decorating style.
Every year Quoizel looks forward to supporting the H Foundation and its ongoing goal to fight cancer. This party of the summer finds an estimated 1,200 people partying at the annual Caribbean-themed event wearing Hawaiian shirts, sandals, and leis, all while raising $615,590 for cancer research!!
All money raised goes directly to basic science cancer research at the Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University. In 15 years, Founder & President, John Rot, Horton Electric Supply, and his Foundation have raised more than $6 million and helped raise another $35 million for cancer research funds and grants.
Besides delicious food and drinks, there were live and silent auctions, special guests, and fireworks at the Chicago Navy Pier which closed out this very successful event.
If you want to join the “Fight”, there is still time to donate to this worthy organization ~ Click to Donate.
Featured as a “Showroom Stand-Out” in this month’s Enlightenment Magazine is Quoizel’s Armelle fixture . This Spanish revival design is one where old world style meets natural elements. The butterscotch onyx is carved with a lovely scalloped edge and the natural variations of each one are unique. The center rods are twisted in the center and combined with the scrolling details all contribute to the wrought iron look.
I Spy…Quoizel and Rick Seidman, President and CEO of Quoizel, on the back page of Lightrays, American Lighting Association’s July/August publication. Why sit in an airport or in traffic this summer? Plan a staycation in your own backyard! With summer in full swing, everyone is spending their time outside, and what better place than in your own backyard? These homeowners have created a relaxing, resort-style outdoor living space that is perfect for hosting summer parties or spending time with their family.
The fully stocked wet bar is filled with stainless steel appliances. The wall panel adds a tropical feel to the space with its deep-stacked stone design in an almond color and is topped off with a black granite counter top. The added décor pulls everything together creating the perfect at-home retreat.
Lighting adds to any space in your home, but many forget about it when it comes to an outdoor living space. After the sun goes down, a Quoizel light fixture will brighten up your yard for those breezy summer nights. Here they chose to use two Nolan wall lanterns on either end of the bar. These fixtures have an unusual architectural design, with metal bands crossing over the opal etched glass. Finished in a warm bronze, these simple wall fixtures add a dramatic affect to this outdoor space.
The large outdoor aluminium dining set with matching server is perfect for entertaining family and friends.
Bringing tropical plants outdoors during the summer combined with annuals and perennials makes this an outdoor retreat to enjoy from April to October.
